Job Title : Lounge Runner

Job Summary :

The Lounge Runner is responsible for efficiently delivering food and beverages from the kitchen or bar to guests in the lounge.

The runner ensures orders are delivered promptly and accurately, while maintaining high standards of service. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced lounge environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Order Delivery : Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen or bar to guests in a timely and organized manner, ensuring that all items are correct and presented attractively.
• Guest Interaction : Provide excellent service by ensuring guests receive their orders promptly and addressing any needs or requests while delivering food and drinks.
• Coordination with Staff : Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient service flow in the lounge.
• Plate Presentation : Ensure that all dishes are presented according to restaurant standards and assist with any necessary garnishing or final touches.
• Stocking & Setup : Assist in preparing the lounge area for service by ensuring stations are stocked with necessary supplies such as plates, utensils, and glassware.
• Cleanliness & Maintenance : Maintain cleanliness of the lounge area by promptly clearing empty plates, glassware, and utensils from tables after orders are delivered.
• Communication : Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure all orders are delivered accurately and in a timely fashion.

Notify servers of any guest issues or special requests.

• Support Staff : Assist servers and bussers with tasks such as refilling water, resetting tables, and clearing dishes to maintain the flow of service.
• Problem Solving : Quickly and efficiently handle any discrepancies with orders, ensuring guest satisfaction by addressing any issues that arise.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in a restaurant or lounge environment preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to carry multiple plates, trays, and drinks safely and efficiently.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Positive attitude and strong commitment to guest satisfaction.

Work Environment :

• The lounge runner works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, requiring constant movement and interaction with both guests and team members.
• Runners must be able to balance speed with accuracy and maintain a professional, polished appearance at all times.
• Tasks involve carrying food and drinks, coordinating with the kitchen and bar, and maintaining a clean, organized service area.
