Gastroenterology Fellowship Program Director
Description :
HCA Healthcare East Florida has an opportunity for an experienced and dynamic physician to lead our Gastroenterology Fellowship program at HCA Florida Westside Hospital as Program Director.
The Program Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, in compliance with ACGME and ABMS regulations and requirements, including the development and administration of a high-quality curriculum, resident and faculty scholarly activity, faculty evaluation and development, assessment and mentorship of residents, evaluation and development of the program, engagement with hospital leadership and the community, budget oversight, resident recruitment efforts, and timely communication with regulatory agencies and division leadership.
The Program Director will also have the opportunity to join the academic faculty Nova Southeastern University Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine, and engage in the education of medical students, as well as collaborative research and scholarship.
The academic rank will depend on the candidate’s experience.
Requirements :
Qualified Candidates :
- Must be board certified in Gastroenterology by the ABMS
- Must have or be able to obtain an active medical license in Florida
- Must have three 3 years of clinical experience in an academic / teaching environment
- Must have a minimum of three years faculty experience in an ACGME accredited residency program
- Must have active involvement in research and scholarship over the past 5 years
- Will have a combination of 20% - 30% protected administrative / teaching time and 70% - 80% clinical / teaching responsibilities
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
