Req Number 134789FLEXSTAFFWe are looking for a Bi-lingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist to work for one of our external clients, a community services non-profit organization serving people with developmental disabilities for their community center, located in Staten Island, NY.

This is a permanent, full-time job. This is a permanent job, Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm, no holidays, no weekends.In this role you will be responsible for providing speech and language assessment and therapy to students.

Requirements : Master's Degree in Speech and Language PathologyBi-lingual (English / Spanish)One year of prior Speech Therapy experience preferredLICENSE / CERTIFICATIONCurrent NY State license in Speech and Language PathologyASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency requiredNYSED Certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hard of hearing (TSHH) is mandatedFor Bilingual Therapist : NYSED TSSH Certification with Bilingual ExtensionClinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be supervisedResponsibilities include, but not limited to : Provides speech and language assessment and evaluation to determine student's developmental level and needs.

Analyzes test results and prepares written summary to Early Intervention, CPSE, CSE and other regulatory, referring or oversight organization.

Plans and conducts speech and language interventions in accordance with established goals.Implements testing procedures to evaluate and monitor student progress as required by appropriate regulatory agency.

Provides written report of results to EI / CPSE / CSE.Assesses oral motor development and ability to intake food orally.

Develops a treatment plan appropriate to identified disabilities.Implements appropriate utilization of AAC devices.Maintains daily and monthly attendance records and progress notes.

Provides therapy progress reports to parents / guardians and appropriate team members. Meets and communicates with parents / guardians regularly in writing or verbally.

Participates in Initial Evaluation and Intake processes.Performs other related duties as requested.*Additional Salary DetailThe salary range and / or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
