Part Time Sonographer

As a Cardiovascular Sonographer you will complete all functions necessary to perform high quality cardiac and vascular exams to include : Echocardiograms, stress echoes, carotid duplex, arterial duplex, dialysis grafts, interventional vascular exams, surgical assistance and treatment planning as well as Cath lab and post treatment care.

Essential Functions of the Role :

• Supports patient care by performing all cardiovascular procedures, educating the patient on the process and answering any questions they may have
• Demonstrates proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures.
• Routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently.
• Appropriately acquire diagnostic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician
• Assures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reports
• Shows a high degree of judgment and skill in use of sonographic equipment.
• Ensures that equipment is constantly functional and maintained for immediate use.
• Maintains records and reports on equipment and procedures performed
• Ability to function in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills, techniques, technology, and protocols.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• Current ARDMS, CCI, RVT or RDCS or registry eligible and pass registry within one year of hire
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
• A valid driver's license
• BLS or ACLS (Will need to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Desired Qualifications :

2 years of experience in Vascular (RVT) ultrasound

Work Environment

This position is a clinical position in a busy cardiovascular outpatient clinic. Monday through Friday 4 day work week. No weekends and No call.

Physical Requirements

This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand;

talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
