General Summary of Position
The Occupational Health Project Coordinator will provide project management support for Occupational Health. The coordinator will partner with OH AVP to track, coordinate, and monitor deliverables for OH projects.
Develops timelines, milestones, and materials for projects. Supports the OH AVP in systemwide tasks for the effective and efficient functioning of departmental operations and transformation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight of and contribute to process improvement projects.
- Create and manage project plans for multiple, concurrent Occupational Health projects.
- Coordinate projects to ensure they remain within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with the timeline and deliverables requirement.
- Analyze project progress, and adapt scope or timeline to achieve goals and results.
- Follow-up with assigned associates on deliverables.
- Liaise with OH team to define project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with departmental and organizational goals.
- Assists with systemizing OH processes across the health system.
- Collaborate with the OH team to contribute to or provide oversight of improvements to OH programs, such as tuberculosis screening, respiratory protection, influenza vaccination campaign, other vaccination programs, and prevention of bloodborne pathogens.
- Assist with development or updating OH resources (. policies, standard operating procedures, job aids).
- Assists with the implementation and management of special projects.
- Prepare reports, status updates, and files as needed.
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes, and handouts.
- Provides occasional administrative coverage in Occupational Health clinics and at system compliance events.
- Assists with data review, reporting, and analysis as needed for OH injuries and compliance measures.
- Partners with OH AVP on departmental deliverables and tasks.
- Provide excellent service in all communications.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
- 3-4 years Experience in project management or coordination required
- 1-2 years Experience working in an occupational health, public health, infection prevention, or healthcare role preferred
Licenses and Certifications
No special certification, registration or licensure
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of various computer software applications.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of project management, timelines, deadlines, and follow-through on finished projects.
