Role and Responsibilities The Quality Inspector will be responsible for but not limited to, performing NDE inspections on projects in addition to other non-NDE activities that may be requested.
Conduct weld inspections in accordance with written procedures and acceptance criteria then complete applicable paperwork.
Conduct mechanical inspections using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures and complete applicable paperwork.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings correctly. Issue non-conformances reports for discrepant items and tag the items appropriately.
REQUIREMENTS Must have minimum of 3 years of NDE experience. Must have experience as a mechanical (dimensional) inspector.
Successful applicant will have a systematic approach to work, be detail oriented and able to finish assignments with little supervision.
Must be currently qualified (or have been qualified in the prior three years) as a Level II weld inspections for Visual (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) examination in accordance with SNT-TC-1A.
Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Access). Excellent communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
Good teamwork skills, participating in team environment. Willing and capable of standing the entire shift. Willing and capable of working Off-Shifts to support company needs.
