Site Coordinator, 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant (A824)

REQUIREMENTS :

Educational Level : HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred with emphasis in social work, psychology, or education

Certification / License Required : None; Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate preferred

Experience : 3 years' work experience in social work, education, or youth development

Physical Activities : Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities : Written and oral communication skills; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; creativity and flexibility are essential

The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.

Demonstrates expert knowledge of mentoring program policies and procedures.

Works directly with the program director to arrange and carry out all student and parent activities.

Assists with conducting interviews with volunteers and students in the program.

Works in a team environment with the Program Director to collect student and parent intake information, reviews information daily and weekly with the Program staff, and develops written reports and student recommendations.

Collects, submits, and reports program data for required grant report.

Identifies student needs for developing programs.

Supervises and monitors the instructional program.

Supervises students, tutors, volunteers, and facilitation staff.

Attends regional / national conferences to increase knowledge of program and best practices.

Attends site level meetings as required.

Performs additional duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
