Tax Manager / Senior Manager
Join a top 150 US CPA firm with a dynamic presence across Ohio, Indiana, and Georgia. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to lead and manage tax-related projects while playing a pivotal role in the financial and strategic decision-making processes.
As a Tax Manager / Senior Manager, you will leverage your solid technical skills to address complex tax issues, contribute to firm-wide training and development initiatives, and foster client relationships by providing superior tax and advisory services.
Compensation : $80,000.00 - $175,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Handle tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client base, ensuring high-quality deliverables within deadlines.
- Identify opportunities for tax planning and other special tax projects as part of tax strategy development.
- Conduct thorough research to stay informed on changes in tax legislation and advise on potential impacts and opportunities.
- Engage in staff management and training, optimizing team performance and professional growth.
- Facilitate business valuations and mergers and acquisitions, contributing financial and tax expertise to complex business transactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Participate actively in professional development programs, and ensure team adherence to the firm’s standards and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Position Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is essential.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a public accounting or tax advisory role, with a proven record of client management.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations and proven ability to handle complex tax issues.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts to non-specialists.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master’s Degree in Taxation or Business Administration.
- Experience with tax software and ERP systems.
- Special expertise in sectors such as healthcare, non-profits, or manufacturing.
- Active membership in professional organizations such as AICPA.
- Background in handling accounting audits and familiarity with GAAP.
- Previous experience in business valuations and mergers and acquisitions is highly preferable.
