POSITION SUMMARY :
The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Specialist is to perform and assist with tasks related to providing a high level of customer service for all Dem-Con businesses.
This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to our customers to aid in the day to day operations of Dem-Con.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Work as primary customer service representative for General Waste & Recycling’s daily operations which include but is not limited to : scaling trucks, routing trucks, billing and customer service
- Primary phone coverage for the company with the other customer service specialist
- Route calls accordingly
- Backup as needed for Dem-Con Trucking
- Set-up and maintain approved customer files and electronic database in company software
- Promptly respond to customer inquiries daily
- Secondary to cover gatehouse during lunch breaks as needed, PTO and one to two Saturday’s every month April - November
- Work closely with and assist the sales team as needed
- Cross train with Dem-Con’s other customer service specialist and be the backup to this position as needed
- Routine monitoring of on-going jobs including but not limited to; scanning manifests, checking volumes against initial expectations, and sending customers and / or consultants’ appropriate information as requested
- Prepare job report summaries daily, reconcile to manifests, and deliver to consultants and customers routinely and upon requested
- Remote scale assistance as needed for Dem-Con business units
- Maintain current database related to customers, contracts, and jobs
- Execute custom reports to help understand volume trends and pricing trends
- Aid in processing credit applications and managing credit limits
