Arcadis is seeking an Enterprise GIS Administrator candidate to provide technical and consulting support for US State Departments of Transportation.

Role description :
Projects focus on data management and maintenance, and design and implementation of Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres) and enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using Esri based software to support Esri Roads and Highways, ArcGIS Enterprise, Business Systems Integration, mobile solutions, web applications, and visualization tools and cloud platforms.
Being a remote position located anywhere within the United States, a highspeed internet connection is required as well as a safe and dedicated workspace.
Opportunities exist for local office interactions and occasional travel (if desired).
Role accountabilities :
- ArcGIS Enterprise administration.
- Database and schema administration (e.g., SQL, Oracle, etc).
- ArcGIS Portal / AGOL administration.
- Systems architecture.
- Network security (e.g., WAF, ports).
- User account administration (e.g., Active Directory, privileged identity management).
- Cloud configuration, architecture, and administration (e.g., Azure, VMware, AWS).
- Software installation and administration.
- License management.
- Creation of scripts to integrate, transform, convert, and validate enterprise data stores.
- Creation of web services to interrogate and distribute enterprise data.
- Architect workflows and processes to integrate, transform, convert, and validate enterprise data stores.
- Validation, troubleshooting, and error resolution of applications, data transformations, and processes.
Qualifications & Experience :
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in the area of GIS, Geography, Computer Science, IT, Environmental Science, or similar or relevant experience / qualifying certification,
10+ years of relevant post graduate work experience, including 5 years in technology / visualization software,
A valid drivers license and clean driving record is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certified GIS Professional (GISP)
Special considerations, specific technical experience, skills, etc. include :
- Esri ArcGIS products (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, and ArcGIS Pro)
- Esri Roads & Highways applications and enterprise database management
- Linear referencing concepts
- Extensive familiarity with enterprise database environments, including versioning concepts.
- Demonstrating progressive and analytical problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for complex reports and presentations.
