POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting relationship managers (RM) with portfolio and customer service support within division / region.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Portfolio Management

Provides portfolio management support for one or more assigned Relationship Managers, with duties as outlined below :

  • Manages maturing note and line of credit renewal process for assigned portfolio.
  • Updates (CRM) with borrower and loan information and data as indicated.
  • Independently manages (with RM oversight) a portfolio of relationships with less intensive and / or transactional needs.
  • Assists RM in the sales process by researching / reviewing client relationships to identify needs and develop potential solutions.
  • Responds to inbound inquiries from current business loan clients.

Business Development :

Provides business development support for one or more assigned Relationship Mangers, as follows :

  • Serves as liaison between the RM, client, and loan operations department to ensure closing and post-closing loan requirements are met.
  • Opens new business depository accounts and coordinates with Treasury Services to ensure proper implementation of related products and services.
  • Prepares and submits loan packets for credit approval as directed.
  • As requested, reviews public information for new opportunities, performing basic market research, and assisting with the pre-call planning process for both prospects and existing clients.
  • Responsible for assisting or attending loan closings.

Client Support

  • Perform routine tasks as requested by client including transfers, loan payments, wires, and research.
  • At the RM's direction, contacts and inquires with clients for delinquent payments.
  • Clears credit and documentation exceptions.
  • Provides customer support as needed (i.e., delivers documents, etc.).
  • Provides back up support in the department as needed.
  • Completes all compliance training related to the position.
  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • One (1) to three (3) years of retail or commercial related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial and / or agricultural lending concepts.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience / Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with different departments and business entities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in business, economics or finance is preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars, etc., as well as ability to travel overnight.
