Tutors Impacting Public Schools (TIPS) supports students, teachers, and school communities, providing representative, culturally responsive classroom tutors to enable student and school success.
TIPS serves over 1000 students in grades K-12 each year, in partnerships with schools across the Puget Sound region. We provide competitive pay, classroom experience, training, and access to professional education networks for college / university students, career-switchers, community members, retirees, and parents who seek to bring their knowledge, interest, and diverse experience to make a difference for children and youth.
Tutors may serve as circulating classroom assistants, lead small groups, or provide individual academic, emotional, or social support at school sites during regular school hours.

In this position you will :
- Support 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade in Math
- Assist teachers and other school staff with group instruction, classroom activities, and special projects
- Build valuable leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Develop professional relationships with faculty, staff, and TIPS administration
- Receive paid training on Race & Equity in Education, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Student Engagement & Management, creating Inclusive & Welcoming School Environments, Social Emotional Learning strategies, and more!
- Get paid $22 / hour
- Accrue paid sick leave
Schedule :
- Start date : January 17, 2023
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
- 10 : 00 to 3 : 00pm
- 20 hours a week
