Job Title : Laboratory Technician / Research Scientist

As the team continues to grow, they are seeking a talented and motivated Laboratory Technician / Research Scientist to join the dynamic team.

Job Summa ry : The team is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Laboratory Technician to support research and development activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be an expert with Raman and SEM and have a deep interest in Surface Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct Experiments : Perform a variety of chemical analyses, experiments, and tests. This includes preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and recording data accurately.
  • Laboratory Maintenance : Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and functioning. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with instruments or equipment.
  • Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Data Management : Accurately record, analyze, and interpret data. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to the laboratory manager and research team.
  • Quality Control : Monitor and verify the quality of laboratory results through rigorous testing and validation procedures.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with other members of the research and development team.
  • Inventory Management : Maintain inventory of chemicals, reagents, and supplies. Order and restock materials as needed, ensuring that the laboratory is well-prepared.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience, with a focus on chemistry.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in using laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers, titrators, and other analytical instruments.

Strong knowledge of chemical safety protocols and laboratory best practices. SEM, Raman and nanoparticle fabrication experience is a huge plus.

  • Analytical Skills : Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex data and produce accurate, reliable results.
  • Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and effectively present data to colleagues and management.
  • Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to share knowledge and support the growth of fellow team members.
  • Organizational Skills : Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Strong time management skills are essential.
  • Adaptability : Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
