Duties :
- Provide oversight, direction and strategy for the operational accounting practices
- Coordinate, implement and develop written policies, procedures and internal controls over the accounting and financial reporting processes
- Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy
- Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts
- Manage the accounting team to shorten the monthly closing process, including adding reconciliations and analysis of related accounts
- Review journal entries, invoices and other accounting transactions
- Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve issues on a monthly basis
- Coordinate, implement and develop written policies, procedures and internal controls over the accounting processes
- Provide training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance and accounting procedures
- Provide support for the Company’s annual audit with the independent auditors and lead any other operational / tax audits
Qualifications :
- 8+ years of accounting experience, with growing responsibilities; CPA a plus
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP, accounting, and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet knowledge
- Knowledge of financial concepts beyond accounting; solid knowledge of US GAAP
- Detail oriented, strategic thinker, well organized, strong prioritization, analytical, and strong communicator; logical, efficient, attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to work in a fast paced, and rapidly growing environment
