JOB SCOPE / SUMMARY
Ensure daily functions of warehouse are carried out in a safe and productive manner to enable same day shipping
Enforce proper procedures for logging, storing, loading, or unloading of incoming inventory
Supervise the work of warehouse employees
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assign, train, and supervise the work of warehouse staff on a particular shift.
Delegate and prioritize picking of customer orders and explain proper picking and stock rotation procedures.
Verify orders are shipped with correct products, including all tinting.
Train warehouse personnel regarding proper procedures to complete bills of lading.
Receive and accurately note all discrepancies on inbound freight.
Operate and demonstrate proper use of wands or scanner guns to detect errors in inbound shipments.
Check orders for potential documentation errors such as improper destinations, order quantities, product marking, packaging, bills of lading, and shipping manifests.
Supervise operations to ensure orders are picked up properly.
Account for all inbound / outbound stock.
Maintain communication with Distribution Administrators regarding stock levels and inventory control needs.
Observe and correct safety and security violations and enforce Regional Distribution Center administrative
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
Educational attainment equivalent to high school education
Considerable inventory management and warehousing experience, including work in a lead capacity is required
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Considerable knowledge of inventory control, ordering, stock rotation, and product storage methods
Knowledge of supervisory principles and techniques
Communication skills
Knowledge of Regional Distribution Center administration practices
Knowledge of safety and security practices
Knowledge of tinting, shaking, and forklift equipment set up, operation, and trouble-shooting procedures
Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck, rider jack, wrapper machine, order picker, computer, tint machine, and slip sheet machine attachment
