Assembler (1st Shift)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Volt is immediately hiring an Assembler in Smyrna, TN.

As an Assembler you will :

• Read and understand moderately complex to very complex wiring diagrams, bill of materials, kit sheets, front elevation and one line.
• Reports issues through entering Andon’s in LDS (Lean Digitization System). Enter wiring terminations through OPS app.
• Assembles very small to large parts and performs wiring assembly.
• Utilizes a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment.
• When discrepancies occur between the bill of materials and drawings, enter Andon in LDS to Team Lead / Engineer.
• Performs entire wiring assembly operation of one job (from pre-arranged kit) from start to finish.
• Responsible for own product quality, proper measuring techniques, and tool use and care.
• Evaluates and performs basic to moderately complex troubleshooting, and obtains support from supervision, and engineering as needed.
• Establishes a safe and healthy work environment.
• Maintains all certifications for group(s) and completes all required training.
• Performs other duties as required and often in other groups.

This is a full-time, Contract opportunity :

• 1st Shift : Mon - Fri, 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 30 PM
• 2nd Shift : Mon - Fri, 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

The ideal candidate will have :

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous wiring experience is preferred.

Pay Range : $20 to $22 per hour.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
