As a Senior Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation, you will play a pivotal role in our legal team, advocating on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers.

Key Responsibilities :
Legal Advocacy :
- Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers in Workers' Compensation cases.
- Prepare correspondence, draft pleadings, and represent clients in court appearances with proficiency and precision.
Case Management and Strategy :
- Manage case calendars and deadlines effectively, overseeing multiple cases simultaneously.
- Conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical professionals to strengthen case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and handle lien claims to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
Leadership and Mentorship :
- Mentor and manage junior attorneys and legal assistants, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting knowledge-sharing and team cohesion.
Client Engagement and Relationship Building :
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders, ensuring trust and confidence in legal services.
- Attend marketing events to engage with new and existing clients and contribute to business development efforts.
Administrative Responsibilities :
- Review and work on files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal procedures.
- Enter time entries into billing software and input case information into PracticeMaster for comprehensive case management.
- Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend client file reviews as necessary.
Continuing Education and Legal Expertise :
- Conduct training seminars for clients on evolving workers' compensation case law, demonstrating expertise and thought leadership in the field.
- Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation case law and statutes, maintaining current knowledge and providing strategic counsel.
Additional Duties :
Undertake any other duties or tasks as needed to support the firm's objectives and operations.
Requirements :
- California Bar license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 15 years of demonstrated experience in workers' compensation law.
- Proven track record of excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Residency in California is mandatory.
- Position is about 90% remote, with occasional in-person trial appearances.
- Competitive pay range from $100k to $210k, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
