Senior Civil Engineer, PE Aviation Department Lead
Salary : $180-230k+ (negotiable)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial Senior Civil Engineer to spearhead the growth and success of our newly established Civil Engineering department within the aviation sector.
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who possesses a comprehensive understanding of consulting and construction operations, and has a proven track record in design, project management, and construction management, particularly in airport projects and natural disaster-prone areas.
Key Responsibilities : Department Leadership : Lead and manage the Civil Engineering department, driving its growth and ensuring excellence in service delivery.
Project Oversight : Oversee all phases of civil engineering projects, including design, project management, and construction management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
Strategic Leadership : Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance, fostering innovation and excellence within the team.
Client & Stakeholder Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Contract Management : Understand and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and smooth operations between engineers and contractors.
Business Strategy Contribution : Contribute to the firm’s business strategy, leveraging your consulting experience to expand service offerings.
Mentorship : Serve as a mentor and leader within the firm, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and entrepreneurship.
Qualifications : Licensure : Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Experience : Extensive experience in civil engineering with a focus on airport projects and experience working in seismic and other natural disaster-prone areas.
Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of the relationship between consulting and construction firms, including contract management.
Leadership & Growth : Proven ability to lead and grow a department or business unit with an entrepreneurial mindset. Independence : Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and operate with minimal supervision.
Compensation : Salary : Competitive base salary between $180,000 and $230,000+, highly negotiable based on experience. Profit-Sharing & Bonuses : Participation in a profit-sharing program and a substantial bonus program.
