Overview
i3 has an exciting opportunity for a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division.
The TEWD's mission is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through RDT&E of current and future technologies.
Modeling and Simulation Engineers develop simulations which emulate various threat system components and physical environment with which they interact.
Responsibilities
- Contributing team member solving highly technical problems in the area of EW technologies.
- Proficient in running existing and interpreting simulation codes in various operating systems and languages (. Linux, MATLAB / C++).
- Develop models of microwave (RF) propagation and associated devices.
- Develop models of missile aerodynamics and control.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
- Ability to model electromagnetic field interactions using software.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience.
- Proficient with a programming language (MATLAB, Python, C / C++).
Desired :
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
- Understanding of missile aerodynamics and control.
- Five (5) years of experience.
- Experience with electromagnetic modeling software (. HFSS and ADS)
- Experience with radar systems.
