Research Assistant Professor, Medicine, Nephrology

The University of Washington?s (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.

0 FTE) position. This position would be at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. Research Assistant Professors are not tenure-eligible.

Research Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30).

Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

The anticipated start date would be January 1, 2024.

The base salary range for this position will be : $8,000 to $11,000 per month ($96,000 - $121,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.

S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

• The successful applicant should have a demonstrated record in basic laboratory and / or translational research directed towards advancing theunderstanding of kidney health and diseases.
• Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of independent scholarship withinnephrology.
• Applicants must have a PhD (or foreign equivalent) in a relevant field.
