Overview

Up to 3 Early Intervention at the Institute for Disabilities Research, Policy and Practice at USU is hiring an evaluator to administer the Battelle Developmental Inventory (BDI) 2NU and BDI 3 standardized evaluation to children under 3 years old.

The position is for 15 hours / week. Up to 3 will provide training to administer and score the BDI. The evaluation is conducted in person at one of the Up to 3 offices or at a family's home if requested.

Work schedule is flexible.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate competence administering and scoring the BDI 2NU and BDI 3 standardized evaluation.
  • Applicant must complete USU trainings.
  • Complete Baby Watch Early Intervention Certification.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, early childhood development, human development and family studies, social work, or other related degree.
  • Utah State licensure(s) required by the Utah Office of Occupational Licensing applicable to the profession (if applicable).
  • Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
  • Write and speak Spanish and English fluently.
  • Baby Watch Early Intervention Credential.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in an Early Intervention program in Utah.

Advertised Salary

$13.00 per hour

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and / or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.

The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and / or move up to 10 pounds.

Funding Statement

The Institute for Disability Research, Policy, & Practice is one of the largest research and outreach centers at USU, and we are largely funded through grants, contracts, and fee-for-service programs.

All staff positions at the IDRPP are contingent upon funding, and all senior staff at the IDRPP with graduate degrees are responsible for helping to generate funding to support our operations and growth.
