The Head Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the program, including planning, organizing, recruiting, developing, and coaching the team.
Seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our NCAA Division III Women’s Golf program.This part time position aims to foster an environment of excellence both in and out of the classroom, emphasizing the holistic development of student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Program Leadership : Provide strategic vision and direction for the Women’s Golf program.
- Coaching : Develop and implement training programs, player development plans. Mentor student-athletes on golf techniques, strategies, and principles.
Foster a positive team culture focused on academic achievement, personal growth, and athletic performance.
- Recruiting : Identify, evaluate, and attract talented student-athletes who align with the academic and athletic standards of the college.
- Administration : Manage program budgets, coordinate team travel, and ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies.
- Staff Management : Hire, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff.
- Other Duties : Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, preferably in NCAA Division III. Will consider 3 or more years of coaching experience at the high school or club level.
- Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of golf techniques, and NCAA regulations.
- Skills : Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment : Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes and the ability to work within the framework of an NCAA Division III program.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proven track record of successful recruiting and player development.
- Experience in budget management and fundraising.
- Ability to foster a positive team culture and promote sportsmanship.
