Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical commercial Estimator with proficiency in Quickbid and Onscreen Take Off.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in project estimation by gathering and analyzing crucial information. Required skills include OST and Quickbid experience, along with a strong understanding of cost-benefit analysis to support profitable business decisions.
The successful candidate will contribute to informed decision-making, enhancing the company's profitability and growth.
Estimator Responsibilities :
- Understand project requirements
- Identify key variables for cost estimates
- Gather information from various locations
- Research labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
- Utilize software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Review offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors
- Perform risk analysis
- Create and submit estimate reports to relevant parties
- Build relationships with key vendors and provide planning consultation
- Proficient in Quickbid and Onscreen Take Off
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification is an asset
Estimator Requirements
- Proficiency in Quickbid and Onscreen Take Off
- Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar position
- Familiarity with financial and project management principles
- In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods
- Strong math and IT abilities with an analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
