The Warehouse Staff is responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from inventory, packing them securely, and ensuring timely shipment.
This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operations of the warehouse and meeting customer satisfaction goals.Key Responsibilities
- Utilize picking lists, invoices, and / or scanners to accurately locate and pick times from bins
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure accuracy in fulfilling orders
- Organize picked items for packing in a systematic manner
- Pack items securely and efficiently according to established guidelines, ensuring products are protected from damage during transit
- Use appropriate packing materials, such as boxes, bubble wrap, and tap, to ensure the integrity of the shipment
- Apply shipping labels and other required documentation accurately
- Conduct visual inspections of items for any defects or damages before packing
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to the supervisor
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by updating systems with quantities picked and packed
- Notify the supervisor of low stock levels and participate in periodic cycle counts as needed
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Follow company policies and procedures related to security, accuracy, and compliance with shipping regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues
- Collaborate with other warehouse and purchasing associates to ensure a smooth workflow
- Meet daily and weekly shipping targets to ensure timely delivery to customers
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and logistics teams to schedule pickups and deliveries as needed
