About The Role

Currie & Brown is currently looking for a Project Controls Lead for a client location in the Philadelphia area. The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include :

  • Providing general leadership of the project controls resources; monitoring project demands and owning all documents and deliverables created by the project controls team
  • Developing, monitoring and controlling an accurate project schedule and costs
  • Implementing robust monitoring and control processes to ensure project costs, schedules and any related risks are regularly reviewed
  • Consolidating and reporting on all capex elements within the project
  • Completing project construction cost reporting with cost forecasting and cost control, management of contingencies and regular reporting to client stakeholders including presentations
  • Liaising with the contractor’s project controls and project managers in reviewing, challenging and negotiating supporting cost validation documentation
  • Leading change order and claims review, including review and recommendation of entitlements in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions
  • Overseeing change management work process
  • Maintaining client account management, monthly invoicing, purchase order management and reviewing contractual terms
  • Leading advice related to procurement, contracting strategies and administration of GMP or other contracts
  • Participating in industry benchmarking of project metrics
  • Participating and supporting best practice for the business, for project controls and cost management processes and procedures
  • Providing lessons learned on projects

Requirements :

  • BS degree in a relevant area is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in project controls
  • Experience working on projects in the pharmaceutical and / or tech sectors
  • Ability to self-manage, requiring minimal supervision
  • Good time management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (MS Word, Excel, Project)
  • Good technical writing and client-facing skills
  • Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • A team player with a can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
