Summary : The EP staff are responsible for providing patient care to patients who are undergoing an invasive procedure in the Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab area.
This person is responsible for assisting the physician at the table or monitoring the patient's condition in the control room area during these procedures and must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies that are used in these circumstances.
It is the responsibility of the EP staff to keep the physician apprised of the patient's condition during the procedure and for communicating and documenting the technical aspects of the procedure, such as hemodynamic responses, EKG rhythm, and response during all levels of care.
Staff must be knowledgeable in acquisition and storage of images and is responsible for the operation of x-ray equipment and for radiation safety.
In addition, the staff are knowledgeable in a variety of specialty equipment and can work directly with the physician to provide this technology during a case.
The staff contribute to the excellent care by utilizing the mission, vision and building blocks to guide them. They recognize themselves as an important part of a team.
Qualifications : AnMed will accept applications from Graduate Nurses that meet SC LLR criteria.* Licensed Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
1 year EP Lab experience preferred.* BSN preferred, ADN candidates must be enrolled in BSN program within 18 months of hire date.
BSN required within 4 years from date of hire.* BLS preferred, Successful completion of hospital provided BLS course within 90 days from date of hire.
Continues to learn and grow professionally through accepting assignments with differing patient load and complexity, clinical development programs, and involvement in professional organization.
AnMed Associate Degree Nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and continue to work as an acute care Staff Nurse since that date, were "grandfathered" and the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years does not apply
