The Opportunity

Fujitsu General America, Inc. (FGAI) is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Director, Residential HVAC Sales, to be based in the Western region of the U.

S. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, the Director is responsible for promoting, selling and supporting FGAI's residential HVAC products.

You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with key stakeholders, leading and motivating staff, and providing strategic leadership for distribution.

What You'll Do Every Day :

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in the HVAC industry.
  • Manage sales team responsibilities, conduct performance reviews, oversee expense budget and paid time off.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, R&D, product management, engineering, and the sales team, to address customer needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish sales and marketing plan with current distribution.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, their needs, and market trends.
  • Stay well informed on HVAC industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress.

The Ideal Candidate :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business administration, marketing and management or mechanical engineering or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • 10+ years prior experience; proven track record in managing a sales staff
  • Strong technical knowledge of the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry and applications
  • Extensive travel; willingness to travel as required (about 50-60%)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
