Job Summary
The Assistant Registrar plays a critical role within our university's academic administration team, focusing on maintaining accurate and organized student records and supporting various academic processes.
This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our academic operations.
In this entry level role, the Assistant Registrar will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and students to uphold institutional policies and standards, contributing to the overall success of our academic programs and student services.
Job Description
Job Duties :
Manage and maintain the integrity of the University Catalog, Programs of Study, Degree Audit, and University Bulletin.
Serve as the administrator for the Catalog and Curriculum system, ensuring accurate representation of academic offerings.
Collaborate closely with university faculty and administrators, particularly with the Registrar, Admissions, Student Financial Aid, and Institutional Research offices.
Act as a liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies, including the Regents, ULS, and Legislative auditors.
Coordinate with the Information Technology office to address system issues and enhancements.
Oversee the completeness and accuracy of student records, making necessary adjustments within the Office of the Registrar.
Process program changes and additions in both the catalog and student information system.
Facilitate the conferral of degrees and manage the diploma issuance process.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree.
Experience working within a higher education institution, demonstrating familiarity with academic processes.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications :
Experience using student information systems (SIS) to facilitate academic administration.
Advanced degree or relevant certifications, showcasing a commitment to professional growth and expertise in higher education administration.
Anticipated Salary : $45,500
