OVERALL FUNCTION :
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Foodservice Operations and based in Minneapolis covering the general mid-west, the Account Manager works collaboratively with the Sales team to on-board, train and quality audit our accounts to ensure alignment with Peet’s broader business goals.
Accounts include business and industry foodservice accounts, college & university campuses, specialty grocery, hospitals, airports, and higher-end hotels and resorts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
New account set up Works closely with the Sales Manager to ensure new accounts are set up and equipped correctly to be able to successfully start the Peet’s Proudly Pouring program.
Activities include preparing new account set up forms, initial orders, ordering marketing materials, brewing equipment and scheduling technicians for installation.
- New account training Is responsible for ensuring new accounts are trained fully on all aspects of our brewing programs (drip, espresso, teas, ice blends), quality standards and ordering guidelines.
- On-going account support Is responsible for performing regularly scheduled quality audit / business reviews, ensuring seasonal promotion sell-in and compliance, works closely with our equipment service team on all equipment related items, develops & maintains relationships with customers defining their business needs to improve their Peet’s program.
Also supports accounts with any special marketing / community building events.
- Organization Maintains detailed account files including information on equipment, marketing collateral, ordering patterns, key account contacts, etc.
- Sales Support Works collaboratively with the sales team to support sales efforts including conducting tastings, supporting trade shows, etc.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum two years related service account management, sales, or training experience.
- Account experience within the foodservice sector.
- Specialty coffee and tea experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate, present & influence effectively.
- Excellent time management skills & ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Strong initiative, motivation, and self-management skills.
- Strong Word and Excel computer skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout designated territory and nationally.
