Welcome to Pioneer (pioneercleveland.com), an exciting new camping-themed sports bar in the heart of Ohio City. Pioneer's expansive dining room is built around 13 TVs, so you never have to miss a game and our show-stopping Argentenian-style hearth that celebrates the oldest method of cooking known to man : live-fire.
Outside, guests can grab drinks from our custom airstream bar and enjoy their meal on the expansive patio, while enjoying their favorite teams on our outdoor TVs.
Operated by Harbor Bay Hospitality, Pioneer is located in INTRO - Cleveland's exciting new mixed-use project, which features nearly 300 new apartments, an acre of green space, and a lavish top-floor event venue directly across the street from the historic West Side Market.

The Dishwasher supports the culinary staff by washing dishes and keeping the kitchen area clean during service and at the end of each shift.
This role maintains a clean kitchen, washes, dries and sorts dishes and keeps the dish area free of clutter and organized.
This role sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks. At the request of the culinary staff, this role may also assist in some food prep work.
The Dishwasher will maintain high standards for cleanliness and organization of dishes throughout the operation.
Essential Functions
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
- Wash and sort soiled dishes according to HBH policies and procedures.
- Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
- Maintain clean and dry floors throughout the shift.
- Properly wash, stack and store plates, glassware, silverware, cookware and storage containers.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards according to HBH policy and safety regulations.
- Assist with food prep work as requested by culinary team.
- Communicate clearly with managers and culinary staff.
- Work closely with all team members to ensure smooth operation.
- Adhere to quality standards for kitchen.
- Notify sous chef of any equipment malfunctions brought to your attention.
- Ensure BOH works areas clean and organized at all times.
- Contribute to a positive work environment to consistently achieve standards and provide exceptional guest service.
- Comply with all policies regarding attendance, performance productivity and teamwork.
- Removal of trash, maintains trash shoots clean of debris and monitor trash compactor activity.
- Promote safe operation of all equipment and safe food handling.
- Ensure work areas are clean and organized at all times.
- Ensure safety-related matters are addressed in a timely fashion and escalate to leadership, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Previous experience as a dishwasher in a full-service restaurant environment, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills including fluency in English both oral and written.
- Maintains composure under pressure, remains calm and courteous in difficult situations.
- Willingness to learn and accommodate industry changes and company directives.
- Required to work nights, weekends, and / or holidays as business demands; ability to work flexible hours as required.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a restaurant / event environment. This role requires frequent standing and walking during entire shift.
Work environment is fast-paced and team member must be able to manage multiple priorities throughout a shift. Exposure to cold and heat may occur on regular basis throughout a shift (entering refrigeration equipment, multiple industrial / food service and exposure to cooking appliances).
