The Classroom Assistant(CA) & Lab Assistant is a part-time, 19-hour-or-less per week position thatprovides support to the course instructor to ensure the effective delivery ofthe required materials and to foster a positive learning environment.

Roles mayvary depending on the course. The position will work on a schedule establishedby their supervisor. The CA & Lab Assistant must be able to workindependently from written or verbal instructions and work well withinstructors.

Essential Job Functions :

Assist with classroom instruction.

Preparing laboratory materials.

Obtaining and distributing course materials.

Assist with completing forms in accordance with department procedures; submit reports and other materials as required.

Operate office equipment, such as copiers, PCs, and / or phone systems.

Work independently and efficiently.

May assist with special projects and events.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Must successfully complete a criminal background check with fingerprinting.

Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone. Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.

Ability to work inclusively in a diverse setting.

Maintain confidentiality, be punctual, communicate changes in work schedule in advance.

Appropriate attire as discussed for the work environment.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
