DESCRIPTION

Job Summary :

This role includes the duties of the following position : Assembler

The role of Assembler is considered a mid-level role within Safran Cabin Manufacturing / Production operations there are several levels

Levels 1, 2, 3 & Lead.

Summary of Duties : Assembler :

Assembler :

Assembles aircraft interior structures and / or parts, such as bins, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, car gliner s, etc

and builds sub-assemblies for the completion of aircraft interior structures, and / or parts using engineering drawings, company and customer specifications.

Adheres company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints & work orders.

Document materials used in each process maintain traceability.

All employees are required productively react change and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future

May work at different workstations as production needs require.

Provide training other Production Associates as directed.

Builds sub-assemblies of aircraft components, such as :

Forming of aluminum trim extrusions, fiberglass laminates and other materials for completion of the sub-assemblies, parts or structures.

Fills and fairs areas as necessary per the established specification or customer limits.

Installs inserts and applies edging material.

Assembles sub components for the structures / units.

Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment during and after production.

Perform other duties as assigned

Must carefully and safely handle raw material and manufactured parts ensure the integrity and quality is not compromised by handling.

Qualifications :

Level 1 Qualification :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience : 0-3 years of experience.

Computer Skills : Not required.

Description : Entry level position within field.

Other Skills :

Requires little experience in discipline

Conducts routine tasks as directed

Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment

The ability tread and write English at a level necessary for successful job performance.

Good hand / eye coordination a must.

Requires sensitivity safety regulations and requirements.

Must be able self-inspect work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner.

Must have knowledge / familiarity operate basic machinery & various pneumatic / hand tools.

Must meet or exceed current training requirements.

Understand the concept of utilizing work orders.

Additional Preferred Skills : (not required)

Ability tread engineering blue prints.

Previous experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.

Level 2 Qualification :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience : 4-5 years of experience.

Computer Skills : Not required.

Description : Mid / Experienced level position within field.

Other Skills :

Requires some experience within discipline and solid working knowledge of subject matter

Handles moderately complex issues, escalates more complex issues higher level staff

Performs work under general supervision with little latitude for independent judgment

The ability tread and write English at a comprehensive level is necessary for successful job performance.

Good hand / eye coordination a must.

Requires sensitivity safety regulations and requirements.

Must be able self-inspect work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner.

Must have experience / knowledge operate basic machinery & various pneumatic / hand tools.

Must meet or exceed current training requirements.

Understand how utilize work orders.

Ability tread engineering blue prints.

Previous experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.

Ability provide peer review and oversight junior Production Associates as needed.

Ability write routine reports and correspondence as well as provide training in the discipline.

Level 3 Qualification :

Experience : 5+ years of experience.

Computer Skills : Not required.

Description : Advanced level position within field.

Other Skills :

Handles complex issues, escalates only the most complex issues higher level staff

Performs work under limited supervision with some latitude for independent judgment

LEAD Level Qualification :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience : 5+ years of experience within discipline.

Computer Skills : Familiar with Windows Operating System® and Office XP®

Description : Leadership & advanced level position within field.

Other Skills :

Requires significant experience within discipline and thorough working knowledge of subject matter

Handles complex issues, escalates only the most complex issues higher level staff

Performs work under limited supervision and directly oversees employees within the work area

Responsibilities include, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; providing input / assistance in the appraisal of employee performance;

addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The ability tread and write English at a comprehensive level is necessary for successful job performance.

Good hand / eye coordination a must.

Requires sensitivity safety regulations and requirements.

Must be able self-inspect work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner.

Must have thorough experience / knowledge operate basic machinery & various pneumatic / hand tools and have the ability teach / train the correct / safe operation other employees.

Ability write reports and correspondence.

Must meet or exceed current training requirements.

Understand the utilization of work orders.

Must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in interpreting Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Must demonstrate proficiency in conducting an effective meeting.

Ability tread & interpret engineering blue prints.

Significant experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.

Additional Preferred Skills : (not required)

1+ year of leadership experience.
