Responsibilities

Take full ownership of projects, overseeing all phases from initiation to completion. Develop comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget management.

Ensure adherence to the organization's project management methodology throughout the project lifecycle.

Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with customers and key accounts. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their needs, concerns, and requirements.

Provide exceptional customer service and ensure satisfaction throughout the project.

  • Coordinate and manage inventory needs, shipments, quality assurance procedures, and customer-specific requirements. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and resources for the project.
  • Facilitate seamless integration of external contractors into the project. Establish clear communication channels and expectations, ensuring the contractors' services align with project objectives and meet organizational standards.
  • Work closely with partners and clients to understand project scope, specifications, and requirements. Gather all necessary information to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project's goals and deliverables.
  • Provide technical support to contractors and project managers, guiding them in the implementation of project plans. Offer assistance and expertise to resolve any issues that may arise during the execution of the project.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges throughout the project and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues to prevent any disruptions to the project timeline and budget.
  • Responsible for maintaining project budgets and tracking expenses. Work with the finance department to ensure proper financial planning and accurate cost estimation.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the project team. Seek feedback, conduct lessons learned sessions, and implement best practices to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Regularly report on project progress to stakeholders, including senior management and customers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including status reports, project plans, and change orders.

Qualifications

As a Project Manager for the Waterworks division at PACE Supply, candidates should possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and industry knowledge.

The qualifications for this role may include :

  • Knows how to use popular construction project management software.
  • Builds strong relationships with clients, contractors, and construction workers.
  • Supervises a construction manager and assistant construction project managers.
  • Excels at organization, time-management, problem-solving, and budgeting.

Education and / or Experience :

  • 3+ years’ experience in Project Management
  • Waterworks Experience Preferred
  • Applicants with industrial or waterworks experience considered.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

Work Environment

Physical Requirements :

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions :

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
