Maintenance Technician

Hours : Second Shift, Monday-Thursday 4 : 30pm-3 : 00am

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who will report to the Maintenance & Tooling Supervisor, and who’ll be tasked with working closely with operations and engineering teams to address equipment-related action items through repair and maintenance.

As part of your role, you’ll be proactive and prioritize problems before they turn into breakdowns. You’ll be at the forefront demonstrating BRP values and maintaining the facility with a great team!

The BRP Marine Propulsion Systems facility in Spruce Pine, North Carolina is a full-service lost foam plant which uses innovative processes to create aluminum castings from polystyrene beads.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :

Monitor and maintain 5-S with accurate documentation

Establish and maintain communication with other team members and support departments

Use time effectively to complete as much work as possible within the shift

Log in work orders into Guide system on a daily basis

Efficiently perform lock-out / tag-out procedure

Promote, model safe behavior and BRP values throughout the facility

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES :

Required :

High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience or Associates degree with 1+ years of experience

Experience in industrial / manufacturing maintenance or related which includes mechanical, hydraulic, basic electrical & electronic troubleshooting knowledge skills

Ability to work in a collaborative environment with strong communication skills and also be able to work autonomously

Preferred :

Ability to safely work with all equipment

Experience in computer skills, including MS Office or Google Suite with the ability to interface with data acquisition software and hardware

Willingness to work a flexible schedule with a great attendance track record

Knowledge of PLC logic / controllers and frequency drives
