SUMMARY :
Lockton Affinity, located in Overland Park, KS, is looking for an Account Manager to join the Synchronize team. The Account Manager will own, manage, and provide customer support with caseload of in-process life insurance, annuity, long term care or related applications from submission to policy issue.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Collaborate with the team to provide a seamless insurance client experience.
- Assist with application completion, including taking new applications and reviewing submitted applications for missing information before submission to the insurance carrier.
- Support the review of underwriting requirements such as Attending Physician Statements, Inspection Reports, Motor Vehicle Reports, supplemental forms, and other medical and financial documents for carrier submission.
- Conduct regular follow-ups via phone and email on all outstanding underwriting requirements.
- Organize and prioritize workloads to ensure timely processing, issuing, and placement of cases, while maintaining frequent communication to manage advisor expectations.
- Maintain the internal processing database to document all work activities, communications, and support on assigned cases.
- Serve as a key point of contact for all case-associated issues, coordinating with all team members.
- Review issued insurance policies for accuracy before dispatching to clients via mail or email.
- Follow up with clients on policy delivery requirements, such as application amendments, health statements, and insurance premiums, to ensure policy placement within the specified timeframe.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent education and / or experience preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of experience working in the insurance industry specific to Life, Health, or Annuity within the area of Case / Account / Relationship Management.
- Knowledge of the life insurance and annuity process preferred.
- Capacity to prioritize workload and work in fast-paced environment.
- High sense of urgency and problem-solving state of mind.
- Ability to communicate consistently, precisely and professionally in both verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service with 1+ years of customer service experience.
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a self-directed fashion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Currently have or be able to obtain a life and health insurance license within the first 6 months.
- Ability to react to change in a productive and positive manner.
- Ability to work evenings and / or weekend hours.
