PURPOSE :
The Habilitation Support Specialist will offer support and training on effective Habilitation practices to Providers, Members, and their Families.
They will collaborate closely with a team that includes Parents, Caregivers, Habilitation Providers, Support Coordinators, and Area Supervisors.
The Specialist will help Families identify suitable goals for Members and provide guidance to ensure these goals are successfully reached, in compliance with all regulations and policies related to Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and other regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be bilingual - Spanish & English
- Satisfactory background check
- Able to acquire a DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
- A Bachelor's degree in education, special education, child development, psychology, behavior analysis, social work, or counseling
- Two (2) years of full-time experience in habilitation services, behavioral therapy, or behavior coaching
- Classroom training experience
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Teach habilitation training classes at various ACS office locations and / or via Zoom
- Assist with planning document preparation, planning, and attendance including all follow up tasks, such as habilitation goal writing.
- Coach habilitation providers and parents / caregivers in implementing habilitation program goals
- Review data on each program goal, as needed
- Review all incoming Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP) documents
- Enter habilitation goals into SpokeChoice
- Perform 90-day reviews, reaching out to families and providers to address any issues with progress

- Telephone and FAX machines
- Computer and internet, printer, copier
- Requires the use of personal vehicle
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates as a remote tele-work position, as Arion Care Solutions does not provide a separate workplace at a corporate location.
Working from home requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to have a space dedicated to work in the home and provision for childcare, if appropriate.
