Axios Professional Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Grand Rapids, MI. This candidate must be willing to learn and develop CNC skills such as setting up programming, tooling changes, speed / feed adjustments, etc.
Experience with Heidenhain / Fanuc is highly desired.
CNC Machinist Benefits / Compensation :
- $23.15 / hour
- Monday to Friday (5am to 1pm)
- Temp to Hire (90 days)
- Overtime is typically limited. OT hours worked after shift and weekends if needed are sign up only.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities :
- Heidenhain / Fanuc controller experience required
- Blueprint reading, Math knowledge (including fractions) and ability to read part prints and control set up sheets
- Understanding tolerance, X,Y and Z Axis, and some tooling
- 3-axis or 5-axis
- Basic understanding of CAD or 3D modeling
- Ability to lift parts and use chucking or fixtures up to 75lbs. This includes the ability to climb into machines to work on the machine tables
CNC Machinist Qualifications :
- A minimum of 3-5 years of CNC Mill experience
- Vertical and Horizonal milling (3-axis and 5-axis) capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Blue Print reading
- Mathmatic skills including reading / writing / understanding fractions
- High School or Equivalent
