Here's what you'll be doing
You'll be at the heart of our procurement operations, working with a small, passionate team of experts to support COTS / MOTS purchases.
Your day-to-day activities will have a significant impact on all aspects of supplier communications, product pricing, quality, and build schedules.
As a Buyer II, you will :
- Manage the full procurement cycle, from supplier selection to order management and delivery coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and economical deliveries of critical materials
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in our supply chain
- Resolve discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, and invoicing
- Support other supply chain management tasks, including business analysis and inter-departmental coordination
You need these qualifications
- You have a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
- You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, managing multiple tasks with ease
- You're proficient in Microsoft Office suite and have familiarity with business intelligence tools like Tableau
- You have exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- You're able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and independently
- You're authorized to work in the US for any employer
It would be nice if
- You have 3+ years of tactical level experience in purchasing
- You've worked in research and development purchasing in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
- You have experience with aerospace or defense industry products
- You hold APICS, CPM, CSCP certification or equivalent
