BASIC PURPOSE :

Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order;
• transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality. (25%) Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods;

communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.

20%) Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.

15%) Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

10%) Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.

10%) Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.

10%) Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. (10%)

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Take guest orders in the absence of order taker. Plate and prepare small food items.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Education : High school education or equivalent experience.

Experience : Minimum 1 year food service or related work.

Skills and Abilities : Ability to carry and balance a tray.

Hours required : Forty hours over a five day period; scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
