As a world leader in aircraft exhaust systems and engine months, the company’s core competencies include certified welding, precision machining and sheet metal fabrication.

Hartzell Aerospace Welding seeks a Aerospace Engineer to support all aspects of manufacturing at AWI. The Aerospace Engineer will be responsible to support estimating with new opportunities, develop manufacturing processes for new products and for continuous improvement to existing long-term product orders.

1) Estimate time costs for manufacturing.

2) Review customer specifications and drawings to determine manufacturing requirements including sub-contracting (surface finishing, heat-treating, NDT, etc.).

3) Estimate and design welding and manufacturing tooling and fixtures.

4) Develop shop floor routings and choose subcontractors to fulfill manufacturing requirements.

6) Work with shop floor employees to resolve manufacturing challenges as well as develop robust and efficient processes.

8) Consult with customers and manage new product development; 9) Work with suppliers to meet customer’s needs.

2) Ability to develop conforming manufacturing sequences within the HAW systems.

3) Demonstrated aptitude for process development / improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering.

A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.

2) Demonstrated Project Management Experience

Ability to plan and coordinate resources for technical projects

3) Proficient Computer Skills

Microsoft Office

Experience with Solidworks

5) Programming of CNC machining and bending equipment.
