Corporate Controller
Overview
The Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Oversees the operations of the Finance and Accounting Department including accounts payable, accounts receivable staff. May oversee payroll.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Prepares periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepares and files annual tax returns or prepares financial information so that outside accountants can complete tax returns.
- Advises management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for annual audits.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Develops and maintains relationships with banking, insurance, and nonorganizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of accounting and other financial staff
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) or similar software.
- Commercial contract experience preferred
- Government contract experience a plus
- Experience with Access & WinTeam preferred.
- Experience with MS Teams preferred
- Must be detailed-oriented.
- Self-motivated and self-starter.
- Must be flexible and able to cross train.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- CPA required
- Ten years or more of related experience required.
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Work in an indoor environment up to approximately 100% of the time.

SecTek is currently seeking a Controller. This is a full-time position offering a starting pay of $125,000 per year.
