Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
Use therapeutic techniques, adapt the individual's environment, teach skills, and modify specific tasks that present barriers to the individual.
Job Responsibility :
- Plan, prepare, or carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
- Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
- Examine patients to assess general physical condition.
- Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enter information into computer.
- Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Proficiency in using an electronic medical record system (EMR).
- Assist and care for others, providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support to colleagues and patients.
- Other office and record keeping related duties as required.
- Varying shifts between the following hours : Monday-Thursday 7a-9p, Friday 7a-7p. Weekend rotation.
Job Qualification :
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in physical therapy from an accredited educational program from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education required.
Master’s / Doctorate Degree, preferred
- Must have valid Physical Therapy license or must have valid permit and become licensed and registered within one year of employment
- Other related certifications
- Minimum two years of physical therapy experience, preferred
