Java Technical Lead Location Torrance, CA (hybrid 1 day / week onsite and the rest can be remote)Contract Duration June 2023 June 1, 2025 Working Hours 8 : 00 am 5 : 00 pm Pacific Time Overtime Hours - Evenings and weekends as neededWe are looking for a Java Technical Lead to help support our client's Digital Services Development Solutions and Governance Team.

Perform Hands on Development - 25-30% of the time and then focus on the following responsibilities will include the following :

• Planning Define project plan, objective and milestonesGain agreement from the customerOversee development of a plan to meet the objectivesAssess risks and develop contingency plans.
• Organizing Manage project resources to perform workSchedule onshore / offshore meetingsCoordinate vendorsDevelop and deliver key documentsMaintain documents associated with project in an organized manner.

• Reporting Create and provide PowerPoint presentations for stakeholdersCreate and provided requested monthly / weekly / daily reports

Required Skills and Expertise :

Must have senior levels skills in Java Development which includes the following : 5+ Strong experience in Java / J2EE and related open source frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Data, JPA, Hibernate, etc.

Experience with public cloud providers (particularly AWS) Cloud Native experience / understanding (AWS or equivalent) : basic / intermediate skill level will be sufficient.

Proficient in Micro Services / backend development, and building enterprise integration solutions with various messaging systems (Kafka, Red Hat AMQ and others) Agile practices and development methodology expertise Understanding of CI / CD deployments Multiple successful end-to-end deliveries from Scope through Implementation / Warranty, including maintenance.

Hands-on knowledge of custom internet application and mobility development, information architecture, user experience, and services-based architecture.

Strong experience with JIRA and working knowledge of Confluence.

• Knowledge in containerized app deployments (Docker, Kubernetes framework or Red Hat OpenShift), Server less Architecture.
• Skilled in solution architecture, security aspects and be skilled in leading development practices.
• Knowledgeable in SOX and Data Governance.
• Strong communication and presentation skills including the following : Experience conducting C-level presentations.Excellent internal and client-facing communication skills.

Skilled in using PowerPoint to create presentations.

• Ability to support 3-4 projects independently.
• Creative, self-driven, highly collaborative.
• Experience working in a highly matrixed environment with multiple cross-organizational teams.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of products, including MS Project.
• Experience working in a dynamic, highly fluid, technically challenging environment Team player.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a large organization that operates using a matrix organization.
• Ability to make architecture changes in a dynamic Agile environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work according to needs.

Desired Skills :

• 2 years' experience in the Automotive industry or in Telematics.
• Experience working with a managed services partner for delivery.
