Full-Time, Non-Union, Non-Exempt Position

$18.19 per hour, 40 hour per week

Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm

BASIC FUNCTION OF ENERGY SERVICES CASE MANAGER :

Provide intensive case management services to eligible participants for energy assistance programs. Includes intake, screening, assessment, referrals, monitoring and recordkeeping.

Responsible for implementing a collaborative process which engages the client in defined activities and identifies resources to support customers energy needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF ENERGY SERVICES CASE MANAGER :

  • Provides intake services at the point of entry and determines eligibility for energy services including Operation Fuel, Ever Source, CNG, municipal utilities and Elderly Energy Assistance.
  • Works directly with eligible clients to assess energy needs.
  • Makes referrals to agencies providing supportive services, based on client needs and services offered.
  • Utilizes network partnerships to assist clients in gaining access to services and works to remove barriers to program participation.
  • Trains volunteer personnel in satellite intake locations.
  • Provides assistance and technical support to seasonal intake certification staff.
  • Assists clients in completing documentation, verifies accuracy of information.
  • Completes required forms and inputs data into the recordkeeping system.
  • Submits completed forms to service providers and regulating agencies, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
  • Enrolls clients in utility arrearage forgiveness programs.
  • Maintains confidential client database and files, in compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Provides reports to funders as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of community resources and needs, including statistical data and projections.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with State and Federal agencies, network partnerships and community groups.
  • May be required to provide phone coverage and respond to walk-in visitors.
  • Provide EMS printout upon request.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF ENERGY SERVICES CASE MANAGER :

Education :

B.A. degree preferred or an A.S. in Human Services, with two additional years of experience in community based case management services or equivalent experience.

Experience :

2 years experience administering case management services. Other combinations of education and experience which demonstrate a candidate’s ability to perform the above services may meet the requirements for this position.

Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
