What you’ll do as a Lead Accountant
Conduct & participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close consolidations process
Conduct review and analysis of subsidiary results, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
Review complex consolidated financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Conduct the review and monitoring of monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed
Prepare government surveys and questionnaires as required and complete General Ledger maintenance as needed
Participate in the development and maintenance of key accounting policies, accounting files and work papers, and system process documentation
Identify risks and assist with process improvements, design, and implementation of controls in accordance with SOX
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal accounting policies and controls
Lead & participate in projects, including process improvements and control initiatives, as well as system implementations
What you’ll need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Bachelor's degree in Accounting - CPA is strongly preferred
8+ years of experience in corporate accounting
Analytical skills with knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP standards
Demonstrated ability to understand and process financial and accounting data
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and coachability
Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Previous experience or exposure to large ERP systems highly preferred
Experience working with Google Drive, Smartsheet, Alteryx, and Power BI a plus
