We are looking to hire a Group Engineering Manager role to oversee software engineering development for corporate identity systems within the Microsoft Digital Security & Resilience (DSR) team.

The mission of the team is to enable Microsoft to build the most trusted devices and services, while keeping our company safe and our data protected.

As part of the Microsoft Security organization, and a steward of Microsoft and our customer's data, a core function of Microsoft DSR is ensuring the security of every aspect of the business.

Microsoft DSR is responsible for company-wide information security and compliance, with a strategic focus on information protection, assessment, awareness, governance, and enterprise business continuity.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience operating online services.
  • 6+ years of people management experience in Big Tech (Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Apple, Google).

Other Requirements :

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings :

Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in Cybersecurity

Software Engineering M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
