Job Specific Duties

• Order Intake : Receive meal orders from hospital staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dietary restrictions.
• Dietary Assistance : Provide information and guidance to patients regarding their dietary options and restrictions.
• Menu Knowledge : Familiarize yourself with the hospital menu and dietary guidelines to assist with meal selection.
• Customer Service : Offer friendly and courteous assistance to hospital staff and patients, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
• Communication : Coordinate with kitchen staff and other departments to ensure timely and accurate meal delivery.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of meal orders and dietary preferences for each patient.
• Other Duties as Assigned : Assist with special projects, events, and additional tasks as needed to support the overall operations and goals of the hospital café and broader hospital community.

What you will need

• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and requirements, with the ability to provide accurate information and guidance to patients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order intake and documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in healthcare or nutrition is a plus.
• A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with hospital staff to ensure patient satisfaction.
