The Division ofChild Development is looking for a Pediatric Psychologist who has an interestin developing an interdisciplinary pediatric feeding and swallowing program inPeoria.
This program’s main purpose is to evaluate and treat infants andchildren with complex feeding and swallowing problems in Central Illinois.
Thisincludes children whose feeding and swallowing problems are from manyetiologies. You will be working with physicians who have experience in treatinginfants and children with PFD, dietitians, nurses, and social workers.
Collaboration with feeding therapists at Easterseals of Central Illinois andOSF Children’s Hospital to help them progress children who have hit a plateau.
Teaching, quality improvement projects and research are encouraged.
Position Summary

This program's main purpose is to evaluate and treat infants and children with complex feeding and swallowing problems in Central Illinois.
This includes children whose feeding and swallowing problems are from many etiologies. You will be working with physicians who have experience in treating infants and children with PFD, dietitians, nurses, and social workers.
Collaboration with feeding therapists at Easterseals of Central Illinois and OSF Children's Hospital to help them progress children who have hit a plateau.
Teaching, quality improvement projects and research are encouraged.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participation in development and participation in an interdisciplinary pediatric feeding assessment clinic
- Treatment of psychosocial component of Pediatric Feeding Disorder
- Treatment of ARFID in infant, children and adolescents through age 12
- Working with community feeding therapists to help children overcome behavioral behaviors that are preventing them from being successful.
- Teaching students, residents and fellows on evaluation and management of Pediatric Feeding Disorders and AFRID
- Collaborate with neurodevelopmental pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology to develop Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Program in Central Illinois
- Work to build database to collect outcome data for the program.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD or PsyD in psychology
- APA approved internship in pediatric or child psychology.
- Three years working in a pediatric clinical setting.
- Experience working in pediatric interdisciplinary care.
- Current Illinois registered / license in Clinical Psychology or eligible
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship in pediatric feeding evaluation and treatment.
- Interest in clinical research in pediatric feeding disorder
- Experience working with children who have complex medical issues.
