Overview
Our Government Client is undertaking a multi-year comprehensive transformation of its systems, environment, and business structure.
Client is emphasizing a complete overhaul of service offerings that focus on a new way of business. Centered around an online strategy wherever possible, this customer-focused model will be the North Star for all efforts.
The program comprises six key initiatives, with a multi-year phased implementation through June : ) Program Organization;
Compliance & Enforcement Services; ) Data Migration; ) Financial Services; ) Licensing & Credentials; ) Titling & Registration.
A new system to support all CLIENT services is being built using Salesforce, integrated with a number of other technologies.
Responsibilities :
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes necessary to support the development, deployment, and operation of Salesforce applications.
Specifically, this includes :
- Design, implement, and manage CI / CD pipelines for Salesforce applications to enable automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline the release process and ensure smooth deployments of features and enhancements.
- Configure and manage version control systems, such as Git, and collaborate with developers to enforce branching and merging strategies.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages (, Shell, Python) and infrastructure-as-code tools (, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of Salesforce environments, including sandboxes, development orgs, and production instances.
- Implement security best practices and compliance requirements for Salesforce applications, including data encryption, access controls, and audit logging.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce configurations, integrations, and deployments in collaboration with development and support teams.
- Stay updated on the latest Salesforce features, releases, and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Salesforce development projects.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, including declarative development, Apex, and Salesforce APIs.
- Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI / CD.
- Experience with version control systems (, Git) and code branching / merging strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications :
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (, Terraform, CloudFormation) and containerization technologies (, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (, Splunk, ELK Stack) for Salesforce applications.
