Duration : 13 Weeks

Hours Per Week : 40

Hours Per Day : 8

Days Per Week : 5

Shift : 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday

Schedule Notes :

• Orthopedic Sports Medicine
• No Weekends, No Holidays, No On-Call, No Float
• 3-5 years of prior experience required

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Summary :

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide clinical care to patients under the supervision of a professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner and assist with clerical office tasks.

Essential Generic Job Functions :

• Prepare Exam Rooms : Set up treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments for patient visits.
• Assist with Patient Care : Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document in medical charts.
• Operate Equipment : Understand and maintain special medical equipment, including performing EKGs, PFTs, Audiometry, and Titmus Tests.
• Conduct Lab Tests : Perform UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab tests as needed.
• Record Keeping : Maintain patient records, file documents, and assist with collections and billing procedures.
• Computer Skills : Use office software for system maintenance and data entry.
• Confidentiality : Handle patient information confidentially and in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Patient Care : Adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
• Other Duties : Complete additional tasks as assigned and adhere to organizational standards.

• Technical Skills : Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.

Education

Required Education :

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Education :

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
